We’re thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the Digital Fashion Masterclass 2024! Co-hosted by our Creative Director, Idiat Shiole (Hadeeart), and Jessica James, this year’s event was held on September 26th and 27th at Adetape House in Lagos, Nigeria. Bringing together an energetic group of designers, creators, and technologists, the masterclass focused on the exciting realms of digital fashion, sustainability, and gamification, providing participants with essential skills for success in a rapidly evolving industry.
Empowering the Next Generation of Digital Designers
Out of more than 80 registrations, we meticulously selected 30+ passionate individuals who showed a keen interest in digital fashion. Their drive and creativity made the event a vibrant blend of learning, innovation, and collaboration.
Day 1 Highlights: Embracing Sustainability
The masterclass kicked off with registration, followed by an introduction to the Style3D software. Participants dove into creating their first digital dress by importing DXF files, demonstrating impressive creativity from the start. An inspiring talk by Leslie Holden highlighted the changing roles of fashion designers, sparking insightful discussions. After a lunch break, the sessions continued with advanced dress-making and rendering techniques using Style3D and Blender. Day 1 concluded with closing remarks by Jessica James and Idiat Shiole, leaving participants energized for the next day.
Day 2 Highlights: Gamification and Networking
On Day 2, we welcomed 35 participants and 10 online attendees. The day began with Jessica James guiding participants through the physical printing of DXF files, followed by an engaging session on environment creation led by Idiat Shiole. Attendees also enjoyed a motivational talk from Aderinsola Amobi-Daniel of LEAP Africa on overcoming fear and building confidence, followed by sessions exploring the intersections of fashion and gaming with Stella Achenbach and Hammed Arowosegbe.
The event wrapped up with a showcase of participants’ incredible work, an interactive Q&A session, and closing remarks from Michael Oscar Esio, founder of Africacomicade.
Celebrating Creativity at the Gamathon Event
The masterclass concluded with a dynamic Gamathon by Africacomicade, celebrating participants’ talents and newly acquired skills. The showcase of stunning 3D fashion designs fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas and inspiration, underscoring the immense talent in the gaming community.

We also honored three students with professional certificates from Style3D: Victor Ajibade, Amazino Uwubiti, and Felix Obafemi, establishing their place as rising stars in the digital fashion space.
